Biography

Prior to joining Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 1998, Matt Chou has been working on a variety of advanced ceramics in processing, sintering, modeling, and mechanical properties. After joining PNNL Matt Chou has been working on mechanical properties of ceramic materials for high temperature applications. Later he focused on sealing research and development for the Solid-State Energy Conversion’s (SECA) Core Technology Programs in developing compressive mica-based seals and refractory sealing glasses for solid oxide fuel cell applications. Matt Chou has over 60 publications and 4 US patents.
