Biography

Dr. Jianming Zheng is currently a staff scientist in the Energy and Environment Directorate, PNNL. Dr. Zheng has expertise and extensive experience in the development of different kinds of high energy density cathode materials for lithium ion batteries including high voltage spinel, Li-rich Mn-rich layered oxide and Ni-rich NMC cathode materials, the development of high performance electrolytes/additives for Li-ion batteries, and the protection of Li metal anode for rechargeable Li metal batteries. He also has expertise in the development of high-energy and long cycle life Li-S batteries, and the development of layered structure cathode materials for sodium ion batteries. Dr. Zheng has more than 60 papers published in peer-reviewed professional journals, and holds 4 patents pending.
