Dr. Shuru Chen is currently a Post Doctorate Research Associate in the Electrochemical Materials and Systems Group in the Energy Processes and Materials Division at PNNL. Dr. Chen has expertise and extensive experience in the development of cathodes and electrolytes for Li-S batteries and silicon anodes for lithium ion batteries. He also has expertise in design and engineering of micro-batteries. He now focuses on developing high performance electrolytes/additives to protect lithium metal anode for safe and stable cycling of rechargeable Li metal batteries. Dr. Chen has more than 30 papers published in peer reviewed professional journals.
