Dr. Xiaodi Ren is currently a postdoctoral research associate in the Energy and Environmental Directorate at PNNL. He has experience in the development of high energy density metal-air batteries, including electrolytes, air cathodes and separator materials, which can improve the battery cycle life and power performance. He is working on functional electrolytes and related materials for Lithium metal protection to enable long-term stable and safe operation of Li metal batteries.
