Mr. Thanh Vo is currently a Scientist in the Electrochemical Materials and Systems Group at PNNL. He started joining Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in January 2019. His research interest focused on the synthesis of functional polymer materials applied as polymer electrolytes for energy storage and conversion system. He has extensive experiences with physical chemistry characterization of polymer materials, ionic liquids as electrolytes for lithium/sodium ion batteries.

Research Interests

  • Functional polymer materials as electrolyte (liquid, gel) for energy storage and conversion (lithium/sodium ion batteries, etc.)
  • Physical chemistry aspect of functional ionic liquids, organic solvents.
  • Chemical recycling of poly(ethylene terephthalate)
