Dr. Hyungkyu Han is a Materials Scientist in the Energy and Environmental Directorate at PNNL. He received his BSc and PhD degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea. After completing his PhD in 2015, he became a joint researcher at FAU, Germany and RCPTM, Czechia for ERC project. In 2017 he was awarded the Director’s Postdoc Fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2019 he joined PNNL’s Battery Materials & Systems Group.

Dr. Han has expertise in the development of low-dimensional functional nanostructured electrodes for electrochemical energy storage and conversion. He has authored and co-authored over 30 publications and patents.
